Digital Asset: Do Kwon moved 5,292 BTC to an anonymous cryptocurrency wallet

According to Digital Asset, the founder of the collapsed ecosystem Terra moved 5,292 BTC from his address to an anonymous wallet. This is the largest transaction Do Kwon has made since the company collapsed.

The transaction from the Luna Foundation wallet on the cryptocurrency exchange Binance was made on July 3. The account that Do Kwon opened back in 2021 originally had 6,983 BTC.

The transfers began back in May. First, 351 BTC were withdrawn from the wallet, then there were several small transactions – less than 1 bitcoin. Digital Asset analysts believe these were test operations.

A Montenegrin court recently found Do Kwon guilty of using a fake passport while trying to leave the country in March. He was sentenced to four months in prison.

A Montenegrin court is now considering extradition requests for Do Kwon from South Korea and the U.S.. The U.S. and South Korea are charging Kwon with multiple fraud charges for his alleged role in the Terra collapse last spring.
