- Binance called the announcement another FUD
The cryptocurrency exchange Binance on its Twitter denied the information about the location of its office in the UK. The company issued an injunction to stop the fraudulent company using its name.
“Another day, another FUD. This is a fraudulent company that has nothing to do with Binance. We issued a suspension and waiver. But don’t let the facts get in the way of a good story!” – the exchange said in a statement.
The Twitter post was made in response to a post that appeared on Reddit, where it was claimed that Binance has an office in the UK. The report mentioned Binance Ltd, a company registered in the small rural town of Mildenhall, Suffolk.
The address listed belongs to the headquarters of OfficeServ, which provides virtual registered address services. According to Companies House, this address matches the address of more than 2,400 other companies.
The U.K. government company registrar’s website states that Binance Ltd.. engages in other service activities that are not classified elsewhere.
It is important to note that having registered offices is not necessarily associated with fraud. The registered office is the official address that companies use for legal and administrative purposes. It is the place where official correspondence, legal notices, and documents from government agencies are received.
