COZ has unveiled its roadmap for Neon 3, an upcoming version of its desktop and mobile wallet. The update will bring a range of new features, including support for Neo X and a unified software architecture for seamless deployment across platforms.
The initial release of Neon 3 will introduce a complete redesign of the wallet’s desktop client, offering improved customization options and personalization features. Users will also be able to secure all their accounts with a single master password, streamlining wallet management. Additionally, the update will enable cross-chain compatibility, allowing users to manage addresses on multiple blockchains through a single interface.
Neon 3 will initially support Neo N3, Neo X, and Ethereum, with additional conveniences such as BIP-44 key derivation and imports. The wallet will also provide a MetaMask key exchange tool and automatic account import scanning using a mnemonic.
COZ has upgraded its WalletConnect 2 interface and extended support to Neo X. This enhancement will enable both Neo N3 and X dApps to onboard Neon wallet users seamlessly.
Looking ahead, COZ has outlined its technical roadmap for the future. In Q3 2024, the company plans to introduce non-fungible item skins for account card customization and reintroduce support for multiple accounts on Ledger hardware wallets. The same quarter will also see a native Flamingo integration, allowing users to perform token swaps directly within the wallet.
In Q4 2024, COZ aims to integrate the Neo Native Bridge into the wallet, facilitating easy asset transfers between N3 and X. The update will also include support for cross-chain swaps via Flamingo and other exchanges. Additionally, COZ plans to introduce an account sync feature, enabling users to synchronize wallet, account, and contact data across various Neon products.
For the first half of 2025, COZ has identified three main priorities. In Q1, the focus will be on accounting features, including an enhanced transaction history export function. In Q2, COZ will add self-custodial identity management tools and a low-fee fiat ramp to improve user onboarding and regulatory compliance.
