CZ spoke about his plans after serving his prison sentence

  • Changpeng Zhao expressed his gratitude to the public for their unwavering support.
  • Following his sentence, the former head of Binance intends to shift his focus towards education.
  • CZ plans to maintain a passive role as an investor and holder of cryptocurrencies.

Former Binance CEO, Changpeng Zhao, extended his heartfelt thanks to the public for their continuous support during this challenging period. He also shared his plans for the future after serving his sentence.

On April 30, 2024, an American court issued a verdict in the entrepreneur’s case, sentencing him to four months in prison. The prosecution argued for incarceration, claiming that a probationary period would encourage others to engage in unlawful activities.

Following the announcement of the verdict, the former Binance CEO took to the social platform X (previously known as Twitter) to express his gratitude to all who had supported him and sent letters of support. According to Zhao, these messages hold significant meaning for him.

Changpeng Zhao also stated his intention to serve his sentence and “focus on the next chapter.” He plans to delve into educational matters, but it remains unclear whether this refers to projects in the field or personal development.

Zhao also emphasized his intention to maintain his position as a passive investor and owner of cryptocurrencies. He believes that the industry is currently entering a new era, marked by the global adoption of digital assets and the development of regulatory frameworks.

Furthermore, CZ highlighted the positive outcome of the thorough examination of Binance conducted by authorities as a result of his case. He believes that successfully completing this test has opened up new opportunities for the exchange.
