Lightning Network Partners with Chainalysis, Notabene, and TRM Labs for Bitcoin Payment Monitoring

  • This news was received ambiguously
  • because payments will now be able to be monitored by US regulators

The Lightning Network has partnered with Chainalysis, Notabene and TRM Labs.

This means that regulators in the US and other countries will now be able to monitor Bitcoin payments on Lightning.

So a debate is brewing on social media about how to take such news – as a reasonable compromise or a “deflection” under the White House?

This is how Smith Bhatt, founder of blockchain company Theya, comments on the situation:

Lightspark also announced other news. Thus, they integrate with one of the leading Eastern exchanges Rain.

It will bring Lightning technology to millions of consumers in Turkey, Pakistan and other countries in the region.

The partnership is very interesting, given that Pakistan recently decided to ban cryptocurrencies. Lightning technology is also being integrated by payment system Flexa.

The Lightspark technology was introduced last month. It will complement the Bitcoin Lightning Network, making it easier to use.
