PwC India Report Reveals 70% of Company Heads Plan to Integrate Metaverse into Business Activities

  • This is the result of an April survey
  • Many firms have already begun to embrace virtual worlds

According to a PwC India report, nearly 70% of company heads in India plan to integrate the metaworld into their business activities.

A total of 150 executives from a variety of industries took part in the survey.

It’s significant that 63% of businesses that have already begun partially using the metaverse are planning to expand that integration within a year.

This suggests that businesses see a direct benefit from such innovation. In general, 60% of executives surveyed said they were familiar with meta-universe technology.

We note that the term covers a wide range of definitions. But mostly it refers to a digital environment with a virtual world that imitates reality through the use of new technologies.

The creation of virtual worlds uses artificial intelligence (AI), open source platforms, and blockchain. This is how PwC India partner Ashutosh Chand summarized the report:

“The metaclass universe has enormous possibilities.. We expect rapid growth as they are relevant across genders, countries, and generations.

Consumers are receptive to the introduction of new technologies. And companies are investing solid capital in the infrastructure to use the metaverse.”

In fact, India is one of the top three countries for the number of Web 3.0 specialists. There are more than 75,000 such experts working here.

And there are several companies that have achieved unicorn status (capitalization of more than $1 billion).
