Silent Protocol unveils Ghost Layer, a modular Layer 1.5 for Ethereum

Silent Protocol, a leading company in blockchain privacy technology, has unveiled its Ghost Layer, a modular Layer 1.5 specifically designed for Ethereum (ETH). This latest release aims to provide compliant privacy enhancements to public blockchains, catering to the needs of both individual and institutional clients. The Ghost Layer is built on Silent Protocol’s proprietary 0VM technology, which utilizes a zero-knowledge (ZK) based system to enable private asset storage and value transfers across different blockchains. By offering easy integration of existing applications into private workflows, Ghost Layer opens up various execution layers and allows developers to transform their apps into privacy-preserving 0dapps while retaining liquidity on the mainnet. The strategic importance of the Ghost Layer lies in its modularity, which enables horizontal composability across different chains and enhances the overall blockchain ecosystem. Silent Protocol has also developed the Economical Zero Knowledge Execution Environment (EZEE) and the Silent Compliance VM to further support functional privacy and prevent data misuse by malicious actors.
