ChatGPT is a popular chatbot from OpenAI. Periodically, developers present new versions of the program based on artificial intelligence.
Technology company Google has entered the AI development race, among others, with its chatbot Bard.
Tech blogger Rowan Cheung thinks OpenAI shouldn’t worry about competition. In his opinion, there is cause for alarm – on the contrary, there is Google.
That’s what he said after testing the Alpha version of ChatGPT-4. Classic ChatGPT is “trained” on data that appeared online between now and September 2021.
Therefore, the chatbot cannot operate with up-to-date information. The browser-based version of the fourth generation of the program, ChatGPT-4, can use data obtained in real time.
So the improved chatbot is able to provide more accurate and up-to-date responses to requests.
While testing ChatGPT-4 in the browser, Rowan Cheung identified eight features of the program that he thinks should make Google and their Bard developers nervous.
The tester recorded a video for each of the points. Consider the top 8 chatbot features:
- Search for relevant news and generate a table with links to information sources.
- Compress basic information from a large amount of data, capturing the main links that were mentioned in the text.
- Find trending posts on subreddits (the news sections of the Reddit platform).
- Analysis of Twitter’s open source algorithms. The information can be used to create potentially viral social networking posts.
- Search for non-touristy, particularly interesting places to visit when traveling.
- Search for reviews of products and services of interest.
- Analysis of the stock market.. That said, Rowan Cheung does not advise using a chatbot as a primary investment tool.
- Create an essay with sources.
