The Tron network is preparing for the GreatVoyage v4.7.4 update

The Tron Core Devs community has announced that the Tron GreatVoyage-v4.7.4 blockchain update, dubbed Bias, will be rolled out in March.

The update includes network improvements that should improve stability and optimize performance and simplify protocol development.

“With the launch of GreatVoyage-v4.7.4 (Bias), Tron enthusiasts and community stakeholders can expect a more reliable and efficient network infrastructure, reduced complexity, and an improved user experience,” the announcement reads.

The Bias update will support calling the gRPCurl tool, and Gradle dependencies in modules will be reorganized to remove redundancy, ensuring clearer dependencies and reducing the complexity of developing the core Tron protocol. Improved dependency management is promised to reduce costs and contribute to overall community efficiency.

New functions for checking loose block numbers and adding code version columns to HelloMessage will improve the stability of network consensus, as well as optimize network performance and the speed of calculation and withdrawal of rewards for votes, the developers believe.

Earlier, Tron founder Justin Sun announced plans to launch a second-layer network based on Bitcoin to decentralize and integrate various tokens into Tron.
