$30,000 Drained From JPMorgan Chase Account As Criminal Buys Car, Pays Girlfriend’s Bills – And Bank Refuses To Reimburse: Report

$30,000 Embezzled from JPMorgan Chase Account, Bank Refuses to Compensate: Lawsuit Reveals Shocking Details

A JPMorgan Chase customer is taking legal action against the bank after they refused to reimburse her account that was drained of $30,000 by a criminal. Ebony Lucas, a real estate attorney, recently discovered that her business account had been targeted and hit with numerous fraudulent transactions.

Upon investigating, Lucas found that some of the fraudulent transactions were linked to a person named “McNary,” whom she had corresponded with in September regarding a home sale that never materialized. The company had provided McNary with wiring instructions, including routing and bank account numbers. However, after receiving the instructions, McNary disappeared.

Just three days later, Lucas found out that McNary had started stealing from her account. He used the stolen funds to buy a car and pay his girlfriend’s bills. Shockingly, Lucas also discovered that another woman’s name appeared on her bank transactions, indicating that McNary had defrauded more than just one person. The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, revealed that she had dated McNary.

In an attempt to resolve the issue, Lucas reached out to Chase, but was only provided with a partial reimbursement, referred to as a “provisional credit.” However, the bank refused to acknowledge the full extent of the fraud and denied Lucas’ claims by stating that they must be filed within 30 days of the incident. Lucas, however, insists that several fraudulent transactions occurred within the specified time frame.

As of now, Chase has not issued a statement regarding the lawsuit. However, they have expressed that they are working with Lucas to dispute the charges on her behalf.
