Avalanche Shooter ‘BloodLoop’ Launches Play-to-Airdrop via Epic Games Store

BloodLoop, a unique Overwatch-style shooter, has recently launched its play-to-airdrop campaign in conjunction with its release on the Epic Games Store for PC.

The 5v5 hero shooter is now available to a wide user base of 75 million monthly active players through the Epic Games Store. In order to generate awareness and reward early players for testing the game, the developers have introduced the first season of their play-to-airdrop campaign.

Players can now log onto BloodLoop and complete daily and weekly quests to earn points. These points will determine the player’s rank, which will ultimately dictate the amount of tokens they will receive in the airdrop at the end of the campaign.

Enthusiastic gamers eager to join the BloodLoop servers should note that the servers will only be live from 10am-3pm and 7pm-12am UTC until June 30.

This play-to-airdrop strategy was previously employed by Nyan Heroes when it launched on the Epic Games Store, resulting in over 200,000 downloads and reaching the top 30 games on the store. Another game, Shrapnel, has also utilized a similar approach by only allowing gameplay during specific windows of its early access period.

BloodLoop originally announced its play-to-airdrop campaign on March 4 and subsequently introduced the Avalanche token on June 10.

According to an official tweet by the game, “Millions of BLS have been set aside as rewards to be dynamically distributed among players based on their performance. What matters isn’t how much time you spend farming, but rather how much progress you make in the game during the available time.”
