Bitcoin Slides Toward $60K as Altcoins Bleed Out (Weekend Watch)

Bitcoin’s value is steadily decreasing, approaching the $60,000 mark, while most other cryptocurrencies are also experiencing slight declines. The overall market capitalization has dropped to $2.37 trillion. Bitcoin’s price has fallen by 1.3% in the past 24 hours, bringing its weekly losses to about 6%. The trading volume has been relatively low, resulting in $100 million worth of liquidations, with Bitcoin accounting for $37 million of that. Altcoins, including Ethereum (ETH), Binance Coin (BNB), Solana (SOL), and TON, are also seeing minor drops in value. Meme coins like Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) have experienced similar losses. Lido’s LDO token has been the worst performer with a 15% decline, while Quant’s QNT token has surged by 10% and AR token from Arweave has increased by 4%. Trading volumes during the past day have reached about $67 billion, which is expectedly lower for the weekend. It remains to be seen how the market will resolve and whether bullish sentiment or a deeper correction will prevail.
