Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao had an AMA (ask me anything) session on Twitter Spaces yesterday, July 5.. He touched upon many important topics, focusing on cryptocurrency market trends and the company’s outlook.</nbsp;

The full recording can be found here.. CZ holds such sessions on an ongoing basis, focusing on the most interesting or topical issues of the audience. This time, quite expectedly, most of the listeners were interested in what stage of the proceedings in the SEC case against Binance.

When the regulator filed a lawsuit against the exchange and its CEO in early June. CZ commented on the situation, calling the Commission’s accusations unfounded.

Topics from AMA Session

Changpeng Zhao spoke about, among other things:

  • Claim from the SEC. Zhao said he was looking for reasonable and law-enforcement solutions, but could not give details. According to him, Binance, Coinbase, and Kraken are effectively in the same position.
  • Centralization. Zhao claims to support decentralization. Binance divisions operate independently of each other and in different areas.
  • Bidding on spot bitcoin-ETFs. CZ is sure that such activity of large contractors will only strengthen decentralization and push the sector to further development. Recall that the CEO of BlackRock believes that bitcoin has the potential to revolutionize the world of finance.
  • BTC market development. Zhao is preparing Binance for an increase in cryptocurrency trading volumes in the run-up to the halving. Read more about what this is in our story.
  • Listing new tokens. Binance will only add assets to trading pairs of those projects that have demonstrated real user activity. And this is the main criterion for listing on the exchange.</nbsp;
  • Projects and team. Zhao said the exchange continues to invest in promising startups. The company also aims to further optimize its labor capital, although CZ did not explain what it meant by that.</nbsp;

FUD. During the session, Zhao touched on Binance’s “Nigerian unit,” which turned out to be a fraudulent scheme. We covered this topic in detail here. He urged users to carefully verify information and do their own research. К слову об этом, у Incrypted как раз есть руководство на эту тему:
