Ripple Announces Major Partnerships at Swell 2023

The Ripple annual conference, which kicked off yesterday, November 8, in Dubai, is scheduled to end today. Since its inauguration in 2017, Swell has become an avenue for experts in the financial industry to discuss the future of money and payments.

As expected, Ripple has made some significant announcements at this year’s Swell event. The Crypto Basic reported that Ripple and Onafriq collaborated on an initiative to expand the former remittance solution in Africa and across its borders, including the UK and Australia.

Additionally, Ripple also announced a partnership with San Francisco-based RocketFuel during the conference. Under the partnership, RocketFuel will integrate Ripple’s payment solution across its product suite.

Why Ripple Chose Dubai for the Swell Conference

Notably, the Ripple Swell 2023 conference is being held in Dubai. Ripple’s decision to host the conference in Dubai will not come as a surprise to many.

Dubai, an emirate in the UAE, has proven itself to be a crypto-friendly region, establishing clear rules for the burgeoning industry. As a result of its favorable crypto regulation, Ripple expanded its presence in the region by opening a new office in Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC).

In a startling development, XRP was approved under the Dubai Financial Service Authority’s (DFSA) virtual asset regime. As reported, the move will allow businesses within the DIFC to integrate XRP into their crypto-related products.
