Blockchain security and analytics platform CertiK Alert said the hackers announced the launch of a fake ORB token and a free giveaway event in which 5,000,000 ORB tokens would be distributed to members of the Orbiter Finance community.
A little later, the Orbiter Finance team confirmed the hack and urged community members to refrain from clicking on links posted on its Discord channel until further notice.

Orbiter Finance representatives clarified in comments that they are trying to regain control of their Discord server. Meanwhile, the first users of the platform have already reported the loss of
crypto-assets as a result of clicking on fake links.
The ScamSniffer platform has published a
report that users lost more than $4 million in March alone as victims of phishing cryptocurrency sites. Attackers use the Google Ads contextual advertising service and masquerade as decentralized protocols or cryptocurrencies like Zapper.fi, Lido, Stargate, DefiLlama, Orbiter Finance and Radiant.
