General Updates

Neo Global Development released the monthly report for February 2024, which highlighted various developments within the Neo ecosystem. These included Da Hongfei’s article on MEV-resistance, the MEV-resistance community campaign on Meme2Earn, the introduction of eight projects to the Web3.0 Global Acceleration Program, the Lunar New Year NFT reward campaign, and the Smart Economy Podcast meetup at ETHDenver.

John Wang, the Head of Eco Growth at NGD, participated in a panel discussion on constructing the public chain ecosystem in Asia at the Hong Kong Web 3.0 Spring Summit.

Neo set up a booth at the Hong Kong Web3 Festival, where attendees engaged in a punching bag competition for a chance to win GAS prizes. Duncan Chiu Tat-kun, a Member of the Hong Kong Legislative Council, also visited the booth to interact with the Neo team.

Neo announced its participation in the upcoming Paris Blockchain Week conference, which will take place from April 9 to 11 in France. Neo founder Da Hongfei will deliver a keynote speech titled “Rethink Layer 1,” and the Neo booth will showcase a non-fungible item activation using the technology of ITEM Systems, a collaboration between COZ and AxLabs. Visitors to the booth will have the opportunity to personalize an NFI-integrated t-shirt.

Neo forged a partnership with PoP Planet, a Web3 social network that aims to help users monetize their influence. PoP Planet plans to integrate with Neo X, further enhancing the capabilities of both platforms.

Poly Network will temporarily suspend its self-hosted cross-chain bridging services starting April 10. However, the network will continue to support the back-end architecture for projects utilizing cross-chain communication.

Quirky Soul College announced the final mint wave for QSC Character NFTs, reducing the total supply from 10,000 to 2,500. The minting process is set to begin on April 20.

COZ conducted an AMA session focusing on non-fungible items and the upcoming Neo booth activation at Paris Blockchain Week.

Flamingo launched a three-month hackathon called the “Dashboard-athon,” offering at least 1,000 GAS in rewards. The hackathon aims to encourage developers to create educational displays, interactive bots, or other creative tools using Neo and Flamingo’s DeFi data. The event will run from April 8 to July 8, 2024.

Flamingo also relaunched its Ambassador Program, allowing participants to earn rewards for onboarding or promotional activities related to the DeFi platform. A monthly pool of US $500 in GAS has been allocated for rewards.

TOTHEMOON announced the upcoming release of V2 of its Fusion Arena, featuring off-chain simulation for a more dynamic combat experience.

Pixudi introduced FRANK as a payment option for Mystery Packs and implemented a promotional code feature for FRANK token users.

Frank Coin conducted an airdrop of 250,000 SCHRUTE tokens to holders of EXTRACTION NFTs designed by SOMNIUMWAVE. Additionally, Frank Coin hosted a livestream showcasing Pixudi, World of Elements, and Pokemon games and distributed NEP-17 tokens to active participants.

Da Hongfei launched a website for the HD memecoin, while Ape Coin unveiled a website for the APE token.

The GrantShares proposal for the Ecosystem Marketing Proposal was canceled by its submitter.

Flamingo shared statistics on the FLUND single-sided staking fund for Week 13 of 2024, revealing a total value of around $13.46 million, total minting rewards of $6.36 million, and total trading fee rewards of $1.16 million.

Developer Updates

COZ released v1.1 of the Contract Package Manager, a tool that streamlines the process of building blockchain applications and reduces the potential for bugs. The update includes support for off-chain Java SDK generation and off-chain Golang SDK generation.

Neo SPCC introduced the NeoFS Panel, enabling users to access the decentralized storage platform within a browser using the recently launched REST gateway.

The NNT editors co-hosted Crypto Coffee and Blockchain Beer Spaces #13 on the Smart Economy Podcast X, covering various topics such as the inclusion of FRANK coin in Pixudi, the potential of memecoins, Poly Network’s suspension of cross-chain services, the benefits of projects maintaining their bridges, and the cancellation of the GrantShares marketing proposal.
