Shiba Inu Says It Hasn’t Forgotten About This Project

Shiba Inu’s marketing lead, Lucie, has addressed concerns about the lack of updates regarding the Shiba Inu metaverse project, SHIB: The Metaverse. Lucie explained that the team has intentionally disclosed less information to make the next revelation more impactful when it is unveiled. Lucie reassured the community with the statement, “Nothing is Forgotten,” implying that work is actively ongoing behind the scenes on the project.

The last significant update on the project was in March 2024, where Lucie shared a sneak peek of the progress made. Since then, there have been speculations that the team may have forgotten about SHIB: The Metaverse. However, Lucie dismissed these speculations, emphasizing that nothing, including the metaverse project, has been forgotten.

SHIB: The Metaverse aims to expand Shiba Inu’s ecosystem utility. It was introduced in 2021, and significant advancements were made in the following years, including the sale of land plots and bringing on board entertainment veteran Marcie Jastrow as an advisor. Jastrow has been promoting the project at various events. The team has also unveiled concepts for different hubs within the metaverse.

While an official update regarding partial access to the project was promised for December 2023, no update has been provided so far. Lucie had previously mentioned that users of SHIB: The Metaverse would earn the upcoming TREAT token for certain tasks. Following Lucie’s recent comments, the team may be preparing for a major update on the project, but the date for this announcement remains unknown.
