200 Million XRP Mystery Baffles Community: Latest Details

A stunning development unfolded today as 200 million XRP was mysteriously transferred between two addresses, according to a report by Whale Alert. What makes this transaction remarkable is that the addresses involved are listed as unknown, leaving the crypto community intrigued.

Delving into the on-chain data from Bithomp, it was discovered that the recipient address “rJqiMb94” was originally activated by Ripple back in 2021 with a transfer of 100 XRP. Not only that, but this address already held an impressive balance of 7.32 million XRP before receiving the additional 200 million tokens. Given this overlap with Ripple and the substantial size of the wallet, it can be reasonably assumed that the address belongs to the crypto company itself.

On the other hand, the sender address is relatively new and was activated by an unknown transfer, although it currently holds 5.12 million tokens. The origin of these tokens and the identity of the sender remain a mystery.

The big question arises: what is the motive behind this massive transfer? It is likely that Ripple is simply moving funds from one of its wallets to another. This speculation gains further support as today marks the first of the month, the day when Ripple releases some of its XRP reserves from escrow accounts and introduces them into the market.

Ripple’s XRP system operates by holding a substantial amount of XRP in a series of escrow accounts. Each month, one billion XRP is released from an escrow account, and any unused tokens are returned at month-end. This mechanism ensures controlled token release, stabilizes prices, and effectively manages supply.

The community eagerly awaits further updates and clarifications regarding this intriguing 200 million XRP mystery.
