3AC founder Su Zhu says prison ‘good for you’ after four-month stay

3AC founder Su Zhu recently made headlines with his unusual perspective on prison life. Zhu, who spent four months in prison in Singapore for violating a court order, surprisingly described his experience as enjoyable and beneficial. While he didn’t go so far as to highly recommend it, he stated that prison is something that everyone should experience at least once as it can be good for personal growth.

Zhu elaborated further on his point, pointing out that prison still offers forms of entertainment that were considered enjoyable in ancient times. He mentioned that he had the opportunity to read as many books as he wanted and do as many pushups as he pleased. Additionally, the provision of three meals a day, including an abundance of fruit, impressed him. He also highlighted the quality of sleep in prison, noting that the strict routine and lack of distractions like the internet, alcohol, and caffeine made falling asleep effortless. Zhu even claimed to have had the best sleep of his life behind bars.

Referring to the mats provided in place of beds, Zhu emphasized how they improved his spine health and connected him to his ancestors. While conditions in Singapore prisons may not be ideal, they are likely superior to those experienced by Do Kwon, who is currently incarcerated in Montenegro.

In addition to discussing his time in prison, Zhu also touched on other topics in an upcoming podcast. He highlighted the dominance of incel rhetoric in mass media and the US presidential race. Moreover, he shared his thoughts on Andrew Tate, a controversial figure known for his misogynistic views and alleged involvement in human trafficking. Zhu mentioned that Tate’s earlier videos raised thought-provoking questions about sexuality.

Zhu’s perspective on prison life has sparked varied reactions online, with some suggesting that he should spend even more time behind bars or endure harsher prison conditions elsewhere. Nonetheless, Zhu’s unique take on his incarceration has certainly captured attention.
