Arkham Intelligence puts $46,000 bounty on FTX hack culprit

The Arkham Intelligence platform announced a $46,000 reward for accurate information about the attacker who was involved in the November 2022 FTX exchange hack.

“Today, we will reveal the biggest reward at Intel Exchange – for solving perhaps the biggest mystery in the crypto industry: the identity of the FTX hacker,” the company said.

The people who find the hacker must not only name the culprit, but also provide irrefutable evidence of his guilt. Arkham will reward the winner with a sum of 100,000 ARKM (about $46,000). “Headhunters” have until Aug. 17 to submit their applications.

Arkham CEO Miguel Morel says the platform will drive investigations to thwart attackers in the crypto space. Critics say: such investigations could result in the release of users’ personal information.

On November 11, 2022, unknown persons stole about $400 million worth of crypto assets from crypto exchange FTX. The same day the firm filed for bankruptcy. It was the second biggest hack of 2022 and the identity of the hacker has yet to be revealed, Arkham laments.

Arkham had previously placed an order for information on the wallet information of the former head of Project Terra, which collapsed in the same 2022 hack. The amount of the reward is ARKM 9,519 (about $5,971). Two network sleuths have already found Terra Labs wallet data, proven authentic, and won their award;
