Cardano Founder Says Crypto and AI Have the Same Issue

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has drawn a comparison between the challenges faced by cryptocurrencies and artificial intelligence (AI) models. In a recent post on social media platform X, Hoskinson pointed out that short-term narratives often do not work for both industries. He cited the example of OpenAI, a well-known AI research company, which “dominated everything” a few months ago but is now facing increasing competition from other language models. Hoskinson believes that Cardano, with its ecosystem, large user base, and flawless uptime record, is well-positioned to overcome challenges and remain successful. He also emphasized Cardano’s strong plan for scalability and governance. Hoskinson has previously argued that being a first-mover in a niche sector, such as decentralized finance, can actually be a disadvantage due to the ephemeral nature of network effects.
