CCTV broadcasted the SEC lawsuit against Binance

  • China Central Television recently aired a segment about cryptocurrencies
  • CZ has already reacted to the broadcast

This morning, June 5, China Central Television (CCTV) broadcast a lawsuit by the Securities and Exchange Commission against the cryptocurrency exchange Binance.

In their review, CCTC briefly mentioned that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) had filed a lawsuit accusing the defendants of violating U.S. securities laws. It was also noted that the prices of BTC and BNB – declined after this news.

Interestingly, the appearance on the channel also mentioned the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission lawsuit against Binance and Zhao in March. This lawsuit was similar to the SEC lawsuit, but focused on the sale of cryptocurrency futures.

Channel CCTV rarely pays attention to news related to cryptocurrencies, which makes this program especially important and attracts widespread attention from viewers. The verdict in this lawsuit could have significant implications for the cryptocurrency regulatory environment.

CZ reacted to the televised broadcast of this event. He said: “Boss, we’re on TV again, this time it’s the world’s largest CCTV-certified trading platform.”

This is not the first time that CCTV has aired something about crypto assets. In late May, China Central Television aired a segment on cryptocurrencies that featured a bitcoin ATM in Hong Kong. In addition to the big blue logo, it had “Buy Bitcoins” on it.. The NFT was also demonstrated in this video.
