Crypto-detective ZachXBT is being sued

  • He is accused of defamation
  • ZachXBT itself said the suit is baseless
  • He also created a donation address

NFT trader under the alias MachiBigBrother, also known as Jeffrey Huang, has filed suit against the popular crypto investigator. Huang said that ZachXBT published a report last year claiming to have embezzled tens of millions of dollars worth of cryptocurrency.

The article in question is a Medium article titled “22,000 ETH embezzled and more than ten failed projects.”. ZachXBT accused MachiBigBrother of manipulating crypto markets and embezzling 22,000 ETH totaling nearly $38 million.

“A year ago, zachxbt published a Medium article about me that damaged my reputation. Today I filed a libel suit against him in the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas,” MachiBigBrother wrote on his Twitter.

The suit claims that the article provided no corroboration and that the claims are completely false. The document also writes that ZachXBT intended to personally benefit from the article by generating attention, encouraging retweets and attracting additional “donations.”</nbsp;

The crypto detective himself responded to the suit. He stated that the lawsuit is baseless and an attempt to suppress freedom of speech. ZachXBT will fight back and defend free speech.

“I understand that Maci is very rich. I don’t.. He’s using his money to silence me.. I ask for your help so that this doesn’t happen and the truth survives.”

Crypto Investigator also created an address for donations that will go to the forensic investigation. As of this writing, it has raised about $290,000.
