Decline in Attendance: Miami Bitcoin Conference Faces Decreased Interest in 2023

According to a report from the organizing team of the annual bitcoin conference in Miami, less than 50% of the average number of attendees from past years applied to attend in 2023.

Last year, more than 35,000 people attended Miami Bitcoin 2022, say data from the conference website.

In 2023, organizers report that prospective attendees bought fewer than 15,000 tickets: half as many as a year ago.

The decline in interest in the annual conference and the topic of cryptocurrency assets, according to the project team, was influenced by the ongoing crypto-war and the aggressively conservative policy of U.S. government agencies regarding the prospects of industry regulation.

This year’s Miami Bitcoin Conference will be held in Miami Beach, Florida, from May 18 to 20 (the fourth event since 2020).

The guest speakers are Robert Kennedy, Arthur Hayes, Michael Saylor, and representatives from about 400 other companies in the crypto industry.

Earlier, the mainstream media reported that venture capital investment in cryptocurrency projects in Florida declined by 92% in the first quarter of the year, while funding for traditional Silicon Valley tech startups declined by only 53%.
