Etherscan introduces an AI-based tool for smart contract code analysis

Etherscan’s blockchain browser has released a new AI-powered tool that will analyze smart contract code.</nbsp;

Etherscan announced that the Code Reader beta can be used to improve code understanding by providing AI prompts for specific code sections or functions. The company added that by asking specific questions, you can get explanations for specific smart contract code, allowing you to delve into the internal structure of the code.

“This aspect is especially valuable when initially interacting with a smart contract, as it provides a thorough understanding of its operations and functions,” Etherscan wrote. 

The company also described how else the tool can be used. Code Reader provides a full list of smart contract functions related to reading and writing data on the Ethereum network. It can also be used to learn code in order to integrate the smart contract into decentralized applications.

In its official statement, Etherscan said that users need to have an OpenAI API key with a sufficient limit to use their service. They also advise users not to expect that all answers provided will always be correct.
