Experts: In 22 years, AI will perform 50% of work tasks

  • This is what a McKinsey
  • Annually AI leads to $2.6 trillion in economic growth
  • It’s comparable to a new country

World consulting leader McKinsey has presented a report on the prospects of AI.

They believe AI will add $2.6 trillion to $4.4 trillion to the global economy each year. This is equivalent to if the world would add one new country the size and productivity of the United Kingdom ($3.1 trillion GDP in 2021).

In order to compile the study, experts McKinsey studied 850 professions and 2,100 different activities in 47 countries. They analyzed more than 80 percent of the global workforce.

In addition, McKinsey believes that modern AI and other technologies can automate work processes that now take up 60 to 70 percent of employees’ time.. And half of those tasks will be taken over entirely by neural networks.

Will people lose jobs?”

The final McKinsey findings note that the rise of AI does not mean unemployment for people.

“We could make those jobs much faster and much more accurate than today.”

Generative intelligence will add 0.2 to 3.3 percentage points a year to global economic growth. But many workers will need to learn new skills. And some will change their occupation.

In addition to work tasks, AI can take on issues of entertainment and spiritual life. In Germany, for example, ChatGPT successfully held the first mass for parishioners.
