German intelligence launches NFT-quest to find Web3 talent

  • The chance for a job goes to those who solve the code and unlock the token
  • The contest is open to German citizens ages 13 and up

The German Intelligence Agency Bundesnachrichtendienst (BND) has created the Dogs of BND NFT collection to attract web3 talent to its team. This collection appeared on the OpenSea Marketplace.

So, NFTs were originally worth a token 0.000001 ETH, but access is blocked. In order to mint a token, users must participate in a treasure hunt. They have to find the hidden text – it can be a wallet address, transaction hash, block or token number. The task is up to experts who know how to study or track the right data.

Whoever solves the codes will be able to name one of the 987 dogs featured in the Dogs of BND collection. And also to become a candidate for a cyber specialist in the Bundesnachrichtendienst intelligence. Germans aged 13 and up will be considered for the position.

By the time of publication, the minimum NFT price had risen to 0.052 ETH. And 195 users have already become token holders (20% of them are unique holders).

The collection was created in the Ethereum network using the ERC-1155 standard. Many criticize police officers for using an outdated standard. Also, some commentators consider the picture too primitive and old-school. But it is worth remembering that the main goal of Dogs of BND is to find candidates who can work in Bundesnachrichtendienst intelligence.
