This unique hybrid functionality allows for the seamless conversion of NFTs to fungible tokens and vice versa, based on predefined values determined by the NFT creators. For example, an Alligator NFT can be converted into a specific number of Alligator tokens, which can then be exchanged for other tokens or used to repurchase another NFT from the same collection.
The introduction of MPL-404 opens up new possibilities and use cases for NFTs, such as dynamic trait re-rolling in NFT projects, loot-box mechanics in Web3 games, and on-chain identities for token communities.
