OneCoin’s Chief Legal Officer Extradited to America for Cryptocurrency Fraud

The US Department of Justice has recently revealed that Irina Dilkinska, the former chief legal officer of OneCoin, has been extradited to the United States to face charges related to cryptocurrency fraud.

Dilkinska, who oversaw the legal department of the infamous OneCoin crypto pyramid, is accused of aiding in the concealment of the criminal proceeds of Ruja Ignatova through the use of a network of shell companies.

In early 2017, it was discovered that over $4.4 billion had been funneled through various companies, with OneCoin’s income alone amounting to nearly $3 billion.

According to FBI investigators, Dilkinska played a key role in helping Mark Scott, a lawyer and accomplice in the OneCoin scheme, conceal more than $400 million.

Following Scott’s arrest, Dilkinska allegedly destroyed incriminating evidence and tipped off other accomplices.

In addition to her role at OneCoin, Dilkinska was also the head of B&N Consult EEOD, which was reportedly used for more than just offering investors “patented advisory services, support, and OneCoin software solutions.” Investigators claim that Dilkinska earned at least $216 million between 2015 and 2016 alone.

Meanwhile, Bulgarian media has reported that Ruja Ignatova, co-founder of the OneCoin cryptocurrency pyramid and widely known as the “Crypto Queen,” may have been targeted for assassination by a drug lord back in 2018.

The investigation into OneCoin’s activities continues, with more revelations expected in the coming months.
