PancakeSwap is set to reward its loyal community by conducting an airdrop of 2,452,128 zkSync (ZK) tokens. The airdrop is scheduled to take place from July 5 to August 5, 2023, to commemorate the deployment of zkSync on PancakeSwap in July 2023.
The objective of this initiative is to acknowledge the contributions of both long-standing and new members who actively engage with the platform. The distribution of ZK tokens will be based on three main categories: veCAKE holders, past contributors, and future contributors.
VeCAKE holders, who have shown consistent support for PancakeSwap, will be rewarded to strengthen the community base. Past contributors, including users who have traded, provided liquidity, participated in campaigns, used prediction products, and voted in gauges, will also receive rewards. These contributors play a crucial role in the ecosystem’s functionality and growth.
Furthermore, PancakeSwap plans to incentivize new traders and liquidity providers as future contributors. By rewarding them, PancakeSwap aims to drive continuous growth, particularly in total value locked (TVL), which is vital for trading activities and revenue generation.
At present, only Category 1 and Category 2 users are eligible to claim the airdrop, with Category 3 users being included in subsequent distributions. Eligible users can claim their ZK tokens by connecting their wallets to the PancakeSwap homepage and following the instructions provided. The gas fees will be covered by PancakeSwap using ZKsync’s paymaster feature.
The claim window for the airdrop will open on July 5, 2024, and close on August 5, 2024. Any unclaimed tokens will be reallocated for future development and community initiatives.
In recent achievements, PancakeSwap has made significant progress on zkSync, implementing features like seamless swaps, yield farming, prediction markets, fiat on-ramp, position manager, and syrup pools. These efforts have resulted in impressive milestones, including trading volume surpassing $3.6 billion, total value locked reaching $5.8 million, and a user base of over 1.9 million.
Additionally, PancakeSwap recently launched an AI-powered prediction market on the Arbitrum network. Leveraging advanced machine learning models from the Allora Network, this feature enhances the user experience and profitability in cryptocurrency trading. The AI model provides data-driven price forecasts, enabling users to predict Ether (ETH) price movements on the Arbitrum network.
