Pixelverse Launching Token on TON as Telegram Game ‘PixelTap’ Takes Off

Pixelverse, a cyberpunk-themed crypto gaming ecosystem, is set to launch its own token on The Open Network (TON) as its popular Telegram-based game PixelTap gains traction. PixelTap is a unique clicker-meets-combat game where players can earn in-game coins to upgrade their robots and engage in battles. The game has been attracting a significant player base, contributing to Pixelverse’s overall success on Telegram.

However, Pixelverse goes beyond just PixelTap. It also offers a web browser-based quest battler set in the same universe, currently in its early preview stage. Pixelverse claims to have already amassed 35 million players, with many of them actively playing PixelTap amidst the growing popularity of Telegram gaming.

The new token, with the ticker PIXFI, will have a total supply of 5 billion and will play an essential role in the Pixelverse ecosystem. It will be used for trading, crafting, and battling within the game universe. The choice to launch the token on TON is strategic, as the Telegram-linked network has become the go-to platform for web3 gaming projects. Other notable gaming projects on TON include Notcoin, Hamster Kombat, and Catizen, with Notcoin’s successful launch of NOT token in May 2024 making it the largest gaming token of that year.

In response to the announcement, Pixelverse expressed their excitement to be part of TON and Telegram’s efforts to drive mass crypto adoption. With the launch of their token and the continued growth of PixelTap, Pixelverse is poised to make a significant impact in the crypto gaming industry.
