Polygon Network Partners with De.Fi for Enhanced Web3 Antivirus Protection

  • It will help protect against hacks and exploits more effectively
  • Telling all the details

Polygon Network has partnered with De.Fi, a developer of anti-virus software and security systems. By the way, this project comes from Ukraine.

It’s being built by a team of programmers from Lviv, Vinnytsia and other cities. So during the partnership, Polygon is integrating the De.Fi antivirus into its ecosystem.

What can Web3 antivirus do?

The company says this solution protects against phishing, smart contract exploits, blind signatures and other threats.

The system itself consists of two components.

The first is the De.Fi Shield. It works like a traditional antivirus, checking downloaded files on users’ devices. It also scans smart contracts and warns if it finds risky transactions.

The tool will be useful when using Dapps.

The second antivirus component is called The De.Fi Scanner. It checks tokens, NFTs or storages before the user interacts with them.

This is how Artem Bondarenko, De.Fi Software Architect, comments on his product:

“Web3 Antivirus is still relatively new.. Research and development continues in this area.

Security measures in Web2 consist of many components – firewalls, encryption protocols and traditional anti-virus solutions.

The Web3 security model, on the other hand, focuses on decentralized consensus mechanisms, cryptographic primitives and the development of secure smart contracts.”

The experts say they will continue to develop and improve their product.
