According to the Finder service, by the end of 2022, the number of registered users of Binance was 128 million. In comparison, the number of users of the largest U.S. crypto exchange Coinbase does not exceed 98 million people.
Binance is now under scrutiny from US regulators, including the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Earlier, Binance announced that it had withdrawn its application for a license from the German Financial Services Authority (BaFin). It was recently revealed that Chinese users of Binance account for about 20% of the platform’s transactions.
