The Super Bowl LVIII final will take place on February 11, 2024 in Paradise, Nevada, USA. In a unique move, there will be a distinct absence of advertising related to cryptocurrencies at the highly anticipated sporting event, according to insights shared by professor and marketing expert Paul Hardart.

With an estimated viewership of 110 million people eagerly tuning in to witness the clash between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs, the focus will be on showcasing commercials promoting traditional consumer products from prominent brands including BMW, Google, Oreo, and more.

“Given the current global uncertainty and geopolitical conflicts, advertisers are leaning towards positive advertising focused on fun, humor, and entertainment. It best matches the uplifting spirit of the Super Bowl,” Hardart said.

Interestingly, the previous Super Bowl in 2022 witnessed the participation of cryptocurrency exchanges such as FTX, Coinbase, Crypto.com, and eToro, who showcased several videos. However, this time around, amidst the collapse of FTX and the fall of Bitcoin, the initiative has been shelved.

The marketing expert predicts that during the live broadcast, viewers will be treated to at least two advertisements centered around artificial intelligence. It has been reported that some of these commercials have cost the companies behind them a staggering $7 million each.

In 2023, the Super Bowl even saw the presence of billionaire Elon Musk, the visionary entrepreneur and owner of Company X (formerly Twitter), who made a notable appearance donning a Dogecoin T-shirt.
