Ripple’s CTO Advises Against Exclusive XRP Apps

Ripple’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO), David Schwartz, recently shared his thoughts on the idea of creating an app that exclusively works with XRP cryptocurrency.

In response to a query on social media, Schwartz suggested that developing decentralized applications (dApps) and other products exclusively for XRP may not be a wise move.

He explained that since many platforms do not support XRP, developing an application that only works with XRP may face several difficulties.

Instead, Schwartz believes that developers should focus on creating apps and products that work with multiple assets as intended by the developers, which will attract more users to the technology and provide a better experience. XRP can be added later with ease if required.

In an unexpected analogy, Schwartz compared XRP to a palm fruit, saying that just as it is challenging to open a fresh coconut, developing a tool that only opens coconuts may not be as useful as one that helps open coconuts and can be used for cooking other food as well.
