PleasrDAO and Own the Doge NFT community have revealed their plans to create a documentary about the beloved Shiba Inu dog, Kabosu, who inspired the popular Dogecoin cryptocurrency and became an icon of the meme world.
The feature-length film will detail Kabosu’s life journey, from being a neglected puppy to being the face of an $11.6 billion cryptocurrency.
After the announcement, Dogecoin prices experienced a 2.5% surge, according to Coingecko data.
Funded by the community members of PleasrDAO and Own the Doge, the documentary aims to reach a larger audience beyond the crypto niche.
Despite the project’s uniqueness, the producer, Tridog, hopes to make it the “most insane movie the world has ever seen” and is actively searching for partners to make it happen.
Dogecoin’s popularity has continued to attract attention from individuals such as Elon Musk, who has previously promoted it and has even faced lawsuits demanding compensation of $258 billion.
Meanwhile, in early April, the Doge meme briefly became Twitter’s new logo, causing the value of Dogecoin to drop by up to 9.5% after it was removed from the cover.
