Craig Wright: “The crypto industry has deviated from the original vision of bitcoin”

Australian entrepreneur known as the “self-proclaimed Satoshi Nakamoto” has shared his feelings about the modern crypto industry.

“As the creator of bitcoin, I am both mesmerized and frustrated by how far the so-called cryptocurrency industry has deviated from the original vision of bitcoin. I envisioned a world of seamless micropayments,” Craig Wright wrote.

The focus has shifted to speculation, quick profits and “pump and dump” strategies, laments a man claiming to be Satoshi Nakamoto:

“It’s sad to see so much focus on price rather than the transformative power of technology.”

Wright argues that bitcoin was never intended to be an investment or a means of saving:

“Bitcoin’s strength lies in its decentralized nature and potential to democratize finance. Its value is not measured by price, but by its ability to make transactions more transparent, efficient and fair.”

Craig Wright likes to remind himself in the media space. Recently, the entrepreneur claimed that Apple Corporation is infringing his copyright on the main document of the first cryptocurrency. A PDF of the original Bitcoin White Paper has been discovered in the bowels of the macOS operating system.

Wright recently revealed that he has to pay legal fees to file lawsuits against Coinbase and Kraken. In total, he must pay 400,000 British pounds ($516,000) in restitution. However, Judge James Mellor is unsure whether Wright will be able to pay the legal fees, given previous inconsistent statements about his financial situation.
