Self-Proclaimed Satoshi Nakamoto Publishes Controversial Letter Challenging Bitcoin’s Classification

Australian programmer and entrepreneur, who is known to the cryptocommunity as “self-proclaimed Satoshi Nakamoto” published an old letter from the creator of BTC, which says that bitcoin is not a cryptocurrency.

Craig Wright, who reiterates that it was he who anonymously created the world’s first cryptocurrency, insists: The letter from Satoshi is actually a letter from Wright to himself.

“The Bitcoin protocol was born to create a stable system. Bitcoin is not a cryptocurrency.

By definition, cryptocurrencies are anonymous and untraceable. Bitcoin has aliases and is tracked, it’s digital cash,” the letter allegedly says.

In February, the results of a lawsuit where Wright lost a case involving alleged infringement of his copyrights on a digital asset became known.

However, the entrepreneur continues to insist that he is the author of the Bitcoin White Paper, and therefore is the same anonymous developer under the pseudonym of Satoshi Nakamoto.

The entrepreneur likes to remind about himself in the media space. He recently claimed that Apple is violating his copyright on the main document of the first cryptocurrency.

At the time, a PDF of the original Bitcoin White Paper was discovered in the bowels of the macOS operating system.
