The self-named Satoshi Nakamoto named the terms of the waiver of claims to the name

In a remarkable turn of events, the individual claiming to be the creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, has put forward a groundbreaking proposal to bring an end to the long-standing legal battle surrounding his identity.

Craig Wright, who has been at the center of controversy for years, has presented a settlement agreement to the crypto community, including the prominent exchanges Coinbase and Kraken, as well as the Bitcoin Core developers who have sued him. Under this proposal, the parties involved would acknowledge that Wright is indeed the mastermind behind the world’s first cryptocurrency.

As part of the agreement, Wright has agreed to relinquish any claims to the databases and copyrights related to Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Bitcoin ABC blockchains. In return, the plaintiffs would withdraw their lawsuits, ensuring that the use of Bitcoin aligns with regulations aimed at preventing illicit financial activities and benefiting the entire community.

Additionally, Wright has pledged to cease referring to himself as Satoshi Nakamoto, instead focusing his efforts on advancing blockchain technologies, particularly with his project Bitcoin Satoshi Vision (BSV). Furthermore, he expressed his intention to prioritize his family and personal life moving forward.

At present, the response from COPA, Coinbase, Kraken, and Bitcoin Core remains pending, as they carefully consider this surprising proposal to settle the lawsuit. It is worth noting that earlier this year, the Supreme Court of England denied Wright the opportunity to appeal lower court decisions, which dismissed claims made by a blogger accusing him of being an imposter.
