Trezor Collaborates with zkSNACKs to Bring Anonymity to Bitcoin Transactions

Trezor, the renowned hardware wallet manufacturer, has partnered with zkSNACKs to introduce the CoinJoin feature to its Trezor Model T, enabling users to make anonymous Bitcoin transactions.

While software wallets already offer CoinJoin, it’s a first for hardware wallets.

This feature enables users to merge several Bitcoin transactions into one, obscuring the transfer amount and user addresses.

The Trezor Model T will be the company’s first hardware wallet to incorporate this function, with the possibility of expanding to the Model One in the future.

To anonymize transactions, users select the “anonymize transaction” button and then the number of CoinJoin stages, with more stages providing a higher degree of security.

Trezor CEO Matej Zak emphasized that user privacy is a top priority for the company, and they are delighted to have found a way to provide users with anonymity.

Previously, the company revealed that it had taken over direct control of silicon chip production for its hardware wallets.
