A resident of Dagestan organized a large underground mining farm

Law enforcement authorities of Dagestan reported the discovery and confiscation of 773 mining devices illegally connected to power grids. The farm was organized by a resident of Novoye Gadari village.

A resident of Novoye-Gadari village in the Kizilyurtovsky district of Dagestan has officially launched a mining farm, formalizing everything in accordance with the law. However, the temptation to increase income by criminal means was too great and the miner ran a second power line, illegally connecting to the network. At the same time, the scale of mining was quite large – the police seized 773 pieces of equipment.

“The farm belonged to a 47-year-old local resident. For the production of digital currency he equipped a non-residential premises on the territory of a peasant farm,” the Interior Ministry of the Republic of Dagestan said in a statement.

The amount of stolen electricity and its value are not yet known, and it is not reported whether a criminal case has been opened over the theft of electricity.

We would like to remind you that in May last year Makhachkala police discovered and stopped the activity of an underground mining farm with 1,500 ASIC-miners.
