AnimeCoin Launches ‘Gacha Grab’ Game With Ethereum NFT Collection Azuki

AnimeCoin has introduced a new game called “Gacha Grab,” which is inspired by Japanese gachapon toy vending machines. In this virtual slot machine-style game, players spin the dial to earn points and prizes, including unique digital Gachapons with different reward levels. Each spin costs 100 credits and grants the player a Gachapon collectible.

Gacha Grab has been developed in collaboration with the Azuki NFT collection on the Ethereum blockchain. Players can earn credits for each Azuki, Elementals, or Beanz NFT they own. As an added incentive, participants in the first Bonus Quest in March are eligible to receive 100 bonus credits.

The Gachapon rarity in the game is divided into three tiers: Esteemed, Grand, and Legend. Players have the opportunity to form “squads” with multiple owned NFTs to enhance their rewards. They can also “level up” their Azuki profile to increase their chances of winning rarer NFTs.

The AnimeCoin Foundation has announced a 2x credit earn boost that will last for two weeks, starting from April 6. Players can track their progress on the Gacha Grab leaderboard. However, the Foundation advises players that the Gachapons earned from NFT credits are tied to the respective NFT and will transfer to the new owner if sold.

Azuki, a collection of 10,000 anime-themed NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain, was launched in January 2022 by Chiru Labs based in Los Angeles. Currently, the floor price for Azuki on secondary marketplaces is 4.9 ETH, equivalent to around $14,550.

AnimeChain, founded in March by a consortium that includes the Arbitrum Foundation, Weeb3 Foundation, and Chiru Labs, aims to be a hub for anime-themed projects. Built with Ethereum scaling technology from Arbitrum, AnimeChain offers a platform for the development and promotion of anime-related digital assets.
