Gemini Exchange announces expansion plans in the Asia-Pacific market

The administration of cryptocurrency exchange Gemini said that the staff size of the Singapore hub will be increased by more than 100 employees.

.

Billionaire twins Cameron & Tyler Winklevoss, the founders of cryptocurrency platform Gemini, said they aim to make Singapore the company’s second-largest hub after the U.S.

To that end, the administration will pay special attention to recruiting qualified software engineers and technical product managers.

.

“The Singapore office will serve as the starting point for all meaningful operations in the Asia-Pacific region. We believe the APAC region will be a great driving force for the next wave of growth in the cryptocurrency market and the Gemini exchange,” the company said in an official statement on its website.

.
The successful development of a representative office in Singapore will allow Gemini Exchange to gain access to an audience outside the U.S., partially compensate for the losses of the U.S. cryptocurrency market compression, and in the most comfortable way to escape possible sanctions from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

In early June, it became known that the cryptocurrency exchange Gemini is preparing to
to obtain a license to operate in the United Arab Emirates, as the country has established itself as a fast-growing center for the cryptocurrency industry.
