Investment platform eToro has been granted the status of a virtual asset exchange in Spain

Bank of Spain has approved the registration of trading platform eToro as a provider of virtual asset exchange services.

In an official statement, the company said that the Bank of Spain’s approval demonstrates that the company’s business policies comply with the regulatory norms and standards applicable to members of the crypto industry in the country.

eToro intends to expand its services in the Spanish market and expects that the regulator’s decision will serve as a sufficient argument for traditional financial institutions to cooperate more with digital asset service providers.

As a result of the registration, eToro has been authorized to offer Spanish users exchange services in traditional and digital assets, as well as various crypto-investment options.

Earlier, cryptocurrency investment platform eToro said it was terminating US users’ access to four cryptocurrencies – DASH, MANA, ALGO and MATIC – amid the SEC action.
