Media: PancakeSwap crypto exchange adds support for zkSync Era

  • The media has learned of Pancake Swap’s integration into the zkSync Era blockchain. This will expand the platform’s audience reach.
  • A spokesperson for the exchange says certain features are already available. Support for the rest, particularly “farms,” will be added in the coming weeks.

Decentralization exchange PancakeSwap has added support for the zkSync Era network, CoinDesk reported, citing a representative of the project team. In addition to this blockchain, the platform is also integrated with BNB, Ethereum, Polygon zkEVM and Aptos.

According to Chef Cocoa, the move is part of the exchange’s strategy to expand its audience reach and maximize profits. Members of the zkSync Era ecosystem can already use the platform’s services to exchange tokens and supply liquidity, the publication claims.

The two features are available with a 0.01% commission on the transaction amount. “Farms” will be launched in the coming weeks. As a reminder, this is a PancakeSwap revenue tool that allows you to earn CAKEs in exchange for steak LPs.

It’s worth noting that at the time of writing, there is no data about this integration on the official PancakeSwap page.

We’ve covered this product, as well as other features of the exchange, in detail in our review. As a reminder, the platform also has its own P2E game.

The zkSync Era network is set for release at the end of March 2023. In the first week after launch, there was a glitch that caused the blockchain to be down for about four hours. Later, 921 ETH were “stuck” in one of the ecosystem projects. The problem was resolved, but the situation caused a flurry of criticism against zkSync Era’s developer, Matter Labs.
