Venture investor, Anthony Pompliano, has jokingly suggested that Satoshi Nakamoto missed a golden opportunity by not scheduling the Bitcoin halving on April 20th. Known as “weed day”, this date has also become the Dogecoin Day in recent years. By aligning with these cultural phenomena, Bitcoin could have further ingrained itself in the minds of the masses. However, supporters of Bitcoin argue that the halving actually occurred on April 20th in countries like the UK and EU, where Satoshi Nakamoto may have been based. Regardless, April 20th continues to be celebrated as Dogecoin Day within the crypto community.
