The American tax authorities hired former top managers of Binance.US and TaxBit

The Internal Revenue Service (IRIS) has hired former senior executives from the US subsidiary of Binance and cryptocurrency tax software company TaxBit.

Sulolith Mukherjee, who worked at ConsenSys as head of the tax department and then held a similar position at Binance.US, became the executive advisor to the American tax office. Seth Wilkes, former vice president of government affairs at TaxBit, has been selected as the IRS' second advisor.

As IRS Commissioner Danny Werfel explained, hiring such experienced private business representatives will improve interaction with the cryptocurrency industry, better protect user rights and more efficiently collect taxes.

Earlier, Republican congressmen sent a letter to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen demanding that the US Financial Stability Oversight Council (FSOC), which she heads, clarify the status of cryptocurrencies at the federal level.
