PDF of Original Bitcoin White Paper Found Hidden in macOS

In a stunning discovery, a PDF copy of the original White Paper of Bitcoin, authored by the mysterious Satoshi Nakamoto, has been found in the macOS operating system.

The discovery was made by blogger Andy Baio, who stumbled upon the file while trying to scan a document with a wireless scanner.

He found that the document was hidden in every modern version of macOS, from Mojave to Ventura, but not in High Sierra or earlier versions.

Baio revealed that he initially saw a photograph that could be printed on a virtual scanner called “Virtual Scanner II” that appeared on his network, which he had never seen before.

However, when he changed the media type from “Photo” to “Document,” the Bitcoin white paper suddenly appeared.

According to Baio, there was virtually no information about this discovery on the internet, except for a November 2020 Twitter thread by designer Joshua Dickenson, who had also found the document using the same method.

Baio shared that he had confirmed the presence of the file with his other Mac-using friends, who also found it on their devices.

This unique discovery provides an unprecedented glimpse into the early days of the cryptocurrency revolution and could help to shed light on the origins of Bitcoin.

Interestingly, on the vehicles of the team sponsored by the American cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, four words from the Bitcoin White Paper were visible: “Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System.
