BlackRock’s Ethereum spot ETF listed on DTCC under ticker $ETHA

BlackRock’s Ethereum spot ETF has made its debut on the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC), with the ticker symbol $ETHA. This comes after the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) gave its approval to eight spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Apart from BlackRock, other companies such as VanEck, Fidelity, Franklin, Grayscale, Bitwise, ARK Invest & 21Shares, Invesco & Galaxy have also submitted filings for Ethereum ETFs to be listed on Nasdaq, NYSE Arca, and the Cboe BZX Exchange. However, trading for these ETFs is still on hold until the SEC approves each ETF’s S-1 filing, with the timeline for this approval process varying. Some experts estimate that it may take a few weeks to several months. An SEC spokesperson declined to comment on the recent approval. Following the SEC’s approval, VanEck has already submitted an amended S-1 form and even released an advertisement celebrating the milestone, encouraging viewers to “Enter the ether.”
