Elon Musk recently sparked curiosity by questioning why Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum, left a certain platform. Responding to a post from Autism Capital, a firm suggesting that Buterin should return to the platform in question, Musk raised the question, “Why did Vitalik Buterin leave X?”
Buterin has been actively engaged on Farcaster, a social media platform that focuses on cryptocurrency discussions. In a statement back in February, he expressed his satisfaction with Farcaster, stating, “Farcaster has become highly valuable as a Twitter alternative for many individuals. I believe the channels actually enhance the experience in several ways.”
Autism Capital, arguing for Buterin’s return to the aforementioned platform, believes that Farcaster will not triumph in the battle of ideologies. They expressed their opinion by stating, “Vitalik needs to go back to X. Farcaster will not win the culture war. If Buterin wants Ethereum to truly shine, he should actively engage with the X platform instead of isolating himself with a select group of peers. By mobilizing the larger community on platform X, he can have a far greater impact.”
On Farcaster, Buterin has around 180,000 followers, with his account linked to the Ethereum Name Service address vitalik.eth. However, on platform X, he boasts a massive following of 5.2 million users.
